According to scientist of The Ohio State University, children who eat more fast food like 4 to 5 times in a week or on a regular basis are found poorer and scored low marks in Maths and science.They showed bad reading quality also, than the students who don't eat Fast Food at all.
Reason for this bad performance is, lack of iron in fast food slow down the processes of brain and other responsible elements Fat or Sugar causes diminish attention span and academic skills like learning, reading affected by this.
Consumption of daily fast Food - score 79%
Consumption of healthy food (not fast food ) - score 83%
Dr Kelly Purtell who led the study at Ohio State University, said,
“Research has been focused on how children’s food consumption
contributes to the child obesity epidemic. Our findings provide evidence
that eating fast food is linked to another problem: poorer academic
outcomes.”
Some side effects of fast food are increase sugar level, causes obesity, high calorie, salty and spicy, poor nutritious value, contain animal fat and scary preservatives used in it.
